TTPOST handles it.
When something goes wrong — and occasionally it will — TTPOST is the institution that steps in. Government-backed dispute resolution, insured parcels, and verified vendors. Not promises on a website. Accountable infrastructure.
Four pillars of trust
Every layer of the marketplace is designed around buyer protection.
KYC-verified vendors
Every seller on TTPOST E-Mall has submitted and passed Know Your Customer checks — government-issued ID, business registration, and bank account verification. Anonymous vendors cannot sell here.
Insured delivery
Every order shipped through TTPOST E-Mall carries parcel insurance at no extra charge to you. If your item is lost or damaged in transit, you are made whole — no argument, no runaround.
Dispute resolution
Wrong item? Damaged on arrival? Vendor unresponsive? Open a dispute in your account and TTPOST mediates. Average resolution time: 3.4 days. Buyers are not left to fight vendors alone.
Customs transparency
All import duties are calculated and shown before you pay. We use official T&T Customs & Excise tariff schedules — not estimates. No surprise charges when your parcel arrives at the post office.
Out of every 1,000 orders, fewer than 8 result in a dispute — far below the regional e-commerce average of 3–5%.
When disputes are raised, our team resolves them in 3.4 days on average. Most are closed within 48 hours.

Why we built this
Between 2023 and 2025, several private parcel-forwarding companies operating in T&T ceased operations suddenly — some without warning, leaving hundreds of customers with prepaid balances, parcels in limbo, and no avenue for recourse. The complaints flooded consumer protection agencies. Investigations dragged on. Most customers never saw their money or merchandise again.
These were not outlier events. They exposed a structural vulnerability: T&T's growing appetite for online shopping had outpaced any regulated infrastructure to support it. Private forwarders operated on good faith and thin margins. When cash flow failed, customers paid the price.
TTPOST E-Mall was built to close that gap permanently. As the national postal authority, TTPOST is a statutory body with legal obligations to its customers. We cannot vanish. We cannot quietly wind down. Every parcel we touch is logged, insured, and accountable — because that's what a national postal service is for. Shopping online in T&T should carry the same confidence as posting a letter: you know it will get there, and you know where to go if it doesn't.
The system working as it should
"I ordered a kitchen blender from a Port of Spain vendor and received someone else's order entirely — a set of men's shoes. I opened a dispute through the app on Monday morning. By Wednesday afternoon, TTPOST confirmed the mix-up, processed a full TTD $320 refund, and arranged collection of the wrong item from my home in Chaguanas. I didn't have to email anyone twice."
"I bought a 24-inch tenor pan from Pan In Steel in San Fernando. I live in Scarborough and shipping fragile instruments inter-island was always a nightmare — I'd heard too many horror stories. But TTPOST E-Mall insured the pan, and the tracking updated every leg of the journey. It arrived at Scarborough post office in perfect condition, two days ahead of schedule. The insurance meant I had absolutely nothing to worry about."
